A Fresh Approach

We are very pleased to announce the opening of Tarpine, Heller & Pendergrass, LLC. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to bring into fruition our new firm, which consists not only of truly extraordinary defense attorneys and supporting staff but also, in our view, composes our new, extended family of simply exceptional human beings.

This past year has been undeniably challenging for all of us. The events of 2020 resulted in great suffering for all of humanity that none of us could have imagined. These same events have also precipitated changes in our society that we would not have expected, or at least would not have expected so quickly. Some of these changes include the ways we interact with each other, such as virtual meetings and social events, the way we shop, with online purchases and home deliveries, and the way we work, with minimal commuting, minimal face-to-face interaction, and essentially complete reliance on technology. We are all patiently awaiting the time when we can be together again, and that time is on the horizon. However, the rapid changes that have occurred over the past year, in particular in relation to our business practices, are unquestionably here to stay in one form or another.

This pace of change in our society requires a defense firm that is not only adaptive in its ability to meet the challenges involved with these rapid changes but is also essentially a reflection of the nature of the changes of our time. Tarpine, Heller & Pendergrass was created with a business structure reflective of our time and consists of individuals who possess the skills, values, diligence, and compassion to provide superior legal service in a time of tremendous change and challenge. 

We formed Tarpine, Heller & Pendergrass as we recognized that we have an exquisitely unique team of individuals, with top-tier skills and talent, shared values, and shared goals for the common good of our team and our clients. We recognized that our team is uniquely positioned to provide superior service to our clients, as individuals and collectively as employers or insurers, during these challenging times and beyond. We resolved to take action, with the phrase in mind: “Control your destiny or someone else will.”

Given the accelerating pace of change in our society, an aging law firm cannot be considered a strength. With the amount of change that has occurred over the past year, it is very apparent that the challenges facing our clients today are much different than they were when some law firms were founded over 100 years ago, 50 years ago or even 20 years ago. We are therefore proud to state: Tarpine, Heller & Pendergrass – Founded 2021.

Tarpine, Heller & Pendergrass will aggressively defend its clients to the fullest extent of the law, achieving superior results that our clients expect, while also showing the compassion that all people deserve. As we introduce our new “work family,” Tarpine, Heller & Pendergrass LLC, we look forward to the continued and passionate representation of our clients that we have demonstrated for many years, in the context of a new firm that has been uniquely developed to meet the unpredictable challenges of our time.
