Experience
Mabel has over 14 years of experience in federal employment law as an attorney-adviser at the U.S. Department of Labor. She started her career as a law clerk for the Employees’ Compensation Appeals Board where she gained valuable insight into the issues and key facts that judges analyze in order to determine whether an employee has met their burden of proof to establish a workers’ compensation claim. Her experience in employment law covered death and dependency, wage-loss compensation, permanent total disability, whistleblower retaliation, and service contract claims.
During law school, Mabel was a member of the University of Maryland’s National Moot Court Team where she competed and won awards in several moot court competitions along the East Coast.
Mabel is committed to providing her clients with sound legal advice and consistent communication as she counsels and defends them in all stages of the workers’ compensation process, from inception through the appeals process.
